Swiftboating Jill Carroll
Fri Apr 07, 2006 at 05:54:41 AM PDT
I have to say that I am just as disturbed as everyone else about how the RW media has been attacking Jill Carroll and questioning her story, but I think I had pretty much just tuned it all out, as I usually do. But today I received an email from a family member that just made me want to scream.

The 28th Amendment: Constitutional Right to Privacy
Mon Sep 12, 2005 at 01:06:40 PM PDT
I had originally posted this as a comment on the Judge Roberts confirmation diary, but there were a couple of good comments, and I thought a diary might expand that conversation further.

Thu Jun 23, 2005 at 12:59:46 PM PDT

article published today on Reuters website, George Bush blames Democrats, not for blocking his non-existent proposal, but for not putting forth their own.
If Bush wants to know what we stand for, let's let him know.

If there's one thing the Republicans understand, it's fear; and we need to play to their basest fear: The fear of being ruled by Liberals.
If I had my fifteen minutes on the floor to address the Senate, I might say something like this:

Armed with the new Bankruptcy law in hand, the credit card companies decided it was time to recoup some of their money.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), led by Bush appointees, is seeking input on a new proposed study in which infants in participating low income families will be monitored for health impacts as they undergo exposure to known toxic chemicals over the course of two years. The study entitled Children's Environmental Exposure Research Study (CHEERS) will look at how chemicals can be ingested, inhaled or absorbed by children ranging from babies to 3 years old.
